Kingsbrae Garden offers several activities for both children and adults, daily, throughout the season. Many are offered at no extra charge beyond Garden daily admission or membership fees.
Treat yourself and a friend or two to a personal, motorized golf cart tour of our National Award-Winning 27-acre Garden with our Floral Carpet Ride.
After a guided, interpretive tour of the magnificent Garden, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in the serene surroundings of the Garden Café, overlooking magnificent gardens towards Ministers Island and Passamaquoddy Bay.
Your experience doesn't have to end with the Floral Carpet Ride: your ticket is good for the whole day and you are invited to come back to the Garden after strolling about the scenic resort town of St Andrews-by-the-Sea.
Our souvenir gift to you: Kingsbrae's Own flower seeds.
Dates: mid-May to mid-October Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays, from 1 to 4 pm by appointment or chance.
$23.45 per person, $19.72 for seniors or students, $10.11 for children 6 & under. HST of 13% is included in these prices.
Free daily activities in the Children's Fantasy Garden during July and August. At Kingsbrae Garden, we encourage youthful exuberance and enjoyment of nature's wonders. Every afternoon at 1:30 during July & August, there is a one-hour activity for children under 12. These activities change regularly. Children must be accompanied by an adult for admission.
In the summer, every morning at 10:30, there is a live ladybug release in the Garden, for those who wish to experience it—for children and the young at heart! This benefits the plants, as the ladybugs eat the bugs that prey on roses and other beautiful flowers, and is a terrific experience, besides. Please present yourself at the Kingsbrae Garden Visitor Centre just before the time, in order to get admission details out of the way.
Add some questing to your Garden visit with three treasure hunts: two for children (one each for those under and over the age of 6) and one for adults. Our Visitor Centre staff will be pleased to supply you with copies, and a small gift awaits, upon presentation at our Garden Café & Gift Shop—as well as a copy of the answers, should some of them elude you!
Play croquet or bocce ball (pétanque) on the sweeping lawn in front of the Garden Café, Gift Shop and Art Gallery. Great for the kids to amuse themselves while the adults sit on the Café terrace with a light snack, lunch or afternoon tea, enjoying the stunning view of gardens and Passamaquoddy Bay. Have another cup of tea or a glass of wine while the children run off some steam! Of course, adults can play too.

"We were just at Kingsbrae Garden for the first time this year on Saturday and Sunday and I was thinking again how lucky we are to have it here.
"Si Si loves the Castle and zooms up and down the wall—also loves the portrait and room behind—hard to get her away from it. I've been bringing her to the Garden since she was really little and she just loves it, as do I."
